In 1896, Italian Vilfredo Pareto was busy harvesting peas in his garden when he made an interesting observation:
He noticed that some peapods had a lot more peas in them than others.
On counting the number of peas in each peapod he found that 80% of the peas came from only 20% of the peapods.
Now, if there are 10 peapods with 50 peas in total we would expect that each peapod would have 5 peas in it.
So we would expect that each peapod would (more or less) have the same number of peas in it.
But Vilfredo found that 20% of the peapods (i.e. 2 out of the 10 peapods) had 80% of the peas (40 out of the 50 peas).
In other words, 2 peapods had more peas in them (i.e. 40 peas) than the remaining 8 peapods combined (which only had 10 peas in total).
Those 2 peapods were far more valuable than the remaining 8 peapods combined.
Vilfredo was an economist and he noticed the same pattern in how wealth was distributed in Italy.
He found that 20% of the people in Italy owned 80% of the land. These 20% were very wealthy. The remaining 80% of the population owned only 20% of the land.
(This pattern still holds true today. In most economies, a small group of people own most of the wealth.)
Nowadays, this pattern is known as The Pareto Principle or the 80/20 rule.
It can be simplified as “80% of the output or results will come from 20% of the input or action.”
A few years ago, I noticed this pattern in my tasks:
20% of my tasks were bringing 80% of the results.
Today, 90% of my income comes from only 10% of my tasks.
The same is probably true for you.
To help you find the tasks that will bring you the majority of the results, I'm hosting a workshop on how you can prioritize your work.
So that you can focus on your most important projects & tasks (with just 1 hour a day).
Downside: It's $100 and if you don't like it you get your money back.
Upside:
You'll come out of the workshop with
The Impact Breakthrough Template so you can start focusing on the most important work easily that same day
A list of the most common non-important tasks you need to stop doing that are robbing you of important time (so you can stop spending your energy on them)
The Prioritized Work Plan so you can focus on your most important projects & tasks with just 1 hour a day
Your entire to-do list is prioritized for the next 3 months (all that’s left for you to do is follow this plan)
A repeatable system you can use every 90 days or when you’re feeling overwhelmed
If you WANT my personal feedback on your prioritization: Show up live so we can work on your stuff. Fun. Optional. There if you need it.
Frameworks, examples, and templates galore and more
The only catch is that you won’t be able to buy after the deadline:
The workshop is live on Tuesday February 20th @ 11AM EST.
Recording and resources are included for life but only if you buy before the deadline.
Lock it in here:
