How to Use Carlson′s Law and Get More Done
Why shouldn't you multitask? There is a mental switching cost when you change tasks.
Work carried out continuously takes less time and energy than when it is carried out in several stages.
Carlson’s law states:
One task completed in one single stretch will actually be completed much faster than doing that same task in multiple attempts or multiple goals.
Try to block long periods of time (preferably in the morning) to have uninterrupted time for your work.
To get the most out of Carlson’s law, you need to bring together tasks of the same nature to perform them together and remove all distractions when you perform tasks.
By doing so, you will boost your productivity.
