Whenever you start your day, give yourself a quick win.
Bonus points if it's something important so it isn’t looming over you all day.
Chances are, you already have a task that is vital in your day today. If not, look at your to-do list, or go back over the past and find a regular task that tends to consume your thoughts.
Take that task and put it at the beginning of your day.
Do it before anything else, even checking and responding to emails.
This will free you from the pressure of the task and allow you to have a simpler day.
