How to get more money AND score “good points”
Here’s a tip to “look better” in your organization
To get more money, demonstrate you’ve added more value.
How do you do that?
Spend the majority of your time focusing on the work that most senior leaders in your organization consider valuable.
Typically, this work increases revenue or profits — in the short term or long term.
This makes you more money and scores you “good points” in your bosses and colleague’s eyes
But it’s easier said than done, right?
The difference between a stagnant salary and a growing one is:
Making more intentional and strategic choices about where to spend our time.
We can be more productive when we know which initiative deserves our highest priority.
I have specific rituals, habits, and hacks for this.
The first step I take is using my “Brainwave Blueprint.”
It’s braindumping.
You want to get everything from everywhere in one central location:
This does 2 things:
Turns chaos into control — you won’t forget anything
Give you a birds-eye view — you can pin-point the needling-moving tasks and tackle them first
Now you know you’re making more intentional and strategic choices about where to spend your time.
And for the majority of your time focus on increasing revenue or profits.
Then you make more money and score “good points” with your boss and colleagues.
We’ve become more productive when we are doing the initiative that deserves the highest priority — the “Brainwave Blueprint” ritual does exactly that.

P.S. My “Brainwave Blueprint” is just one step of the staircase.
There are many others.
I’ll be covering all of them inside part one of the Getting The Right Work Done Workshop is all about:
How I use “Atomic-Task Mastery” to simplify big overwhelming tasks into small actionable steps — making the overwhelming suddenly simple and manageable…
Sweep away mental clutter and chaos with my “Brainwave Blueprint” — bringing clarity and control to your workflow…
Put into action the “Task Tamer Toolkit” so you have a clear view of your workload & progress — and are never left second-guessing what needs to be done next…
The exact “10K Framework” I use to be certain I’m identifying the task that drives the needle forward the furthest — and gain the skill of setting aside small non-urgent tasks without letting them fall through the cracks later…
Apply the “Ice Box List” principle to handle all your ‘someday’ or ‘maybe’ tasks — ensuring you’re focused on the right work…
Master the subtle art of setting “Deadlines vs Deathlines” to create urgency & drive toward your important tasks — while knowing how to manage missed deadlines…
