How to Get 86 Hours Back (Every Month)
We now spend a third of our day on our mobile phones. Here is a 3-step system to start living phone-free.
The average adult spends 2 hours and 51 minutes on their smartphone every day.
Here are 3 rules I follow to gain those 86 hours back:
#1 Out of Sight, Out of Touch
Never keep the phone in your pocket (I put mine in the backpack).
You can put it in a drawer or a different room.
#2 No Notifications
Have your phone always on silent.
It should only ring for calls (which are not often).
No blipping to take your attention away.
#3 No Multi-Phoning
When using your phone, do it deliberately.
Don‘t use it when eating lunch, drinking coffee, or talking to someone.
When you use your phone, ONLY use your phone.
