How to Be More Mindful With Your Phone

Smartphones are dangerous. Not because they may cause stress but because they change your behavior.

It’s time to be more mindful around our phones.

Here‘s how to change your smartphone behavior:

  • Turn off ALL your notifications except messages and calls

  • Remove yourself from all Whatsapp groups (keep only the ones with your closest friends)

  • Remove all news apps. If something important happens, you’ll hear it from the people around you

  • Only consume music, paid journalism, articles from specific authors you follow, podcasts, YouTube videos (mostly to learn, but also for entertainment because you‘re not a robot), books, and audiobooks on it

  • For the rest, use your phone to call, text, and to take notes, photos, and videos

Now you control your phone, not the other way around ;)
